My twice-weekly Today’s Zaman Cave Life column focuses on rural life in Cappadocia in Central Anatolia.

My weekly travel column in Sunday’s Zaman ranges all over Turkey but tends to focus on more off-the-beaten-track locations.

Between 2005 and 2010 I wrote a travel column for Time Out Istanbul in English which I also edited briefly in 2007.

My articles have appeared in The Guardian, Observer, Daily Express, The Lady, Travel Which?, Venue and tasteAnatolia.

I have been a contributor to many other publications including the Little Hotel Book (the guide to Turkey’s boutique hotels); the Which? Hotel Guide (the guide to Britain’s best hotels); the ABC Guide which provides unbiased hotel information to travel agents; and Northstar media which provides online hotel reviews to travel agents.

My travel stories have also appeared in the Lonely Planet Unpacked and Expat Harem anthologies.
